Midweek Prayer Group
The Midweek Prayer Group was initiated by the TUMC Prayer Ministry during a period of restructuring at Trinity and was formed in response to the verse, "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." (Matthew 18:20) The structure is very informal. We gather at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesdays for coffee. A short devotional is followed by a time of sharing thanksgivings and known prayer needs. We pray for our church: the pastor, staff and church family (including the prayer request cards), and for our neighbors and communities (both in Durham and around the world), seeking God's will and guidance for us all. We close with the Lord's Prayer. Prayer requests are kept confidential among the prayer group members who are updated by an email listing.
We have been blessed by our time with each other in Christ's presence, and would love to extend this blessing to anyone who desires to come together with us in Christ's name and in His presence on Wednesday mornings (as many as possible, or as few as one's schedule dictates; pray-ers are free to float in and out as their time allows).
