Benefit Concert. New Members Sunday. Open Table Ministry Update.

Trinity United Methodist Church
The Steeple for January 20, 2023
This Sunday

This Sunday

Sunday, January 22, 2023

Join us this Sunday to hear from Rev. Tobi Nguyen who will be preaching from the epistle to the Corinthians. In this passage, Paul tells us to "have the same mind". That's a hard one. How can we hear the words of Paul, and choose to be a community that has the same mind? We will be streaming online at trinitydurham.org or YouTube. The Scripture readings will be from Matthew 4:12-23 and 1 Cor 1:10-18. We hope you will join us!

Restarting Monday Lunches

Starting this coming Monday, Open Table Ministry will restart their Monday Lunches! They will serve lunch at a location just in front of New Hope Commons close to the intersection of 15-501 and Mt. Moriah Rd. in order to touch base with the homeless community who are outside of the downtown area. They are so excited to begin again with this important aspect of their ministry.

If you are interested in volunteering for this or would like more information on how to get involved, please contact Carolyn Schuldt directly by email or call the Open Table office line at 919-412-7011.

As the new year begins and we enter a new season in the North Carolina Conference, Bishop Connie Mitchell Shelton will be holding gatherings in all eight districts. These events will provide an opportunity to get to know Bishop Shelton as she begins serving as our new episcopal leader.
