This SundaySunday, February 19, 2023 Join us this Sunday for Transfiguration Sunday. It's all about the identity of the one we follow, Jesus the Christ who is revealed in glory on the mount of transfiguration. This day is not about knowledge; it is about faith. Like the disciples who were privileged to be with him in that moment, we often miss the significance or the opportunity to praise in our struggle to understand. It is a day for creeds or affirmations of faith. Let us rise to our feet and declare our allegiance to our Lord on this day. We will be streaming online at trinitydurham.org or YouTube. The Scripture readings will be from Exodus 24:12-18 and Matthew 17:1-9. We hope you will join us! For more infomation visit:

By February, school supplies are depleted, and teachers must buy new supplies with their own funds or do without. In addition, Eastway’s administration welcomes in-person volunteers to read to classes, work one-on-one with individual children, or organize games for children during recess times. If you have other ideas, please let us know! Call or email Mary Beth Markham (919-489-0044 or marybeth.markham@gmail.com) for more information on how to get started. Our mission pews are ready for your items to be placed on them. If you prefer, you may mail a check to Trinity UMC with C4C on the memo line, and committee members will shop for you.
