C4C's School Supplies Mission ProjectThank You to the Congregation Dear Trinity Family,
On Monday, March 6, the boxes of school supplies and check to help with emergency needs in families was delivered to Eastway Elementary School. It would have been difficult to decide where the light was brightest--outside on the grounds on a gorgeous spring day, or in the hearts of the Eastway Elementary staff recipients and The Trinity Congregations for Children delivery team. Thank you, Trinity, for your heart springs of love which never fail to overflow with generosity and love for those in need. And, a special thank you is due to all of Trinity’s students who came forward to participate in the blessing of our gifts to Eastway. Your prayers are an extra and holy gift.
Save-the-Date: on April 30, 2023, the principal, Jackline Teel, and social worker, Genee Murray Maddox, will join us for worship. Dr. Teel will say a few words during the service with regard to the impact community support makes in schools where poverty and need are prevalent.
With hearts filled with gratitude,
Mary Beth Markham and Gwen Palmer
Congregations for Children Co-Chairs at Trinity

CROP Walk 2023April 2,2023 Durham's Congregation in Action is hosting its annual CROP Walk on April 2. Registration starts at 1:30 pm, and the walk starts at 2:30 pm day of. CROP Hunger Walks are community-led interfaith events that raise funds to end hunger locally AND around the world. Everyone is welcome to join! This year, we'd like to change the way we participate in this fundraising event by introducing a little friendly competition to encourage participation by all, whether you walk or support those who walk. We will have 4 teams represented: Carolina, Duke, State, and NCCU. Those who would like to walk will represent their favorite team. Those not walking can donate to their favorite team. The team who collects the most money will be celebrated with a pizza party in the fellowship hall including decorations in the colors of the winning team. Everyone is invited to participate in the pizza party, on Palm Sunday, April 2 directly following the worship service in the Fellowship Hall. Reach out to Angela Fountain if you are: interested in purchasing a CROP Walk t-shirt for $5, or interested in getting together after church to "train" leading up to the Walk.
