Thank you from the Congregations for Children2023 Mission Project “I want you to show love, not offer sacrifices. I want you to know me more than I want burnt offerings.” Hosea 6:6 (NLT) And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God is in them. I John 4:16 (NIV) Dear Trinity Family, When love is on the altar of our hearts, love is reflected in the sacrifices we bring to God. On Sunday, May 21, 2023, a collection of kindergarten book bags loaded with vital school supplies was placed on Trinity’s altar to be blessed by God before being given to young children in need. Trinity’s altar held gifts given in love, given with joy, and given as a sacrifice to the Source of all Gifts and the God Who is Love. FORTY-TWO such book bags (along with a plethora of extra supplies as well as thank you goodies for each member of the faculty and staff!) were delivered on Monday to Trinity’s Congregations for Children partner school, Eastway Elementary. As financially struggling families register their children for kindergarten, God’s love in the Trinity Family has made sure those students have the tools they need to take advantage of the educational opportunity being offered to them. Eastway Elementary is so grateful for your kindness and support for their young students. Thank you to all who gave dollars or supplies, to all who prayed, to all who packed, and to those who delivered. Your love is a fragrant offering to the LORD that blesses beyond measure and in ways we cannot even fully imagine. With hearts overflowing in gratitude, Mary Beth Markham and Gwen Palmer for the Congregations for Children Committee |
